King Lear

King Lear poses the question: What does it mean to be human? Its subtitle could be Being Human. Cruelty, barbarity, savagery, kindness, tenderness, love, in a world that gives not very much back. Set in the fictional present, an aging King invites disaster when he abdicates to his corrupt, toadying daughters, and rejects his loving and honest one.
