Shiki tells her to not give in, and launches his own counter-attack.

Tsubakiri squares off against Shiki with a Momotaro's corpse. Shiki lashes out, only to learn the dead Momotaro wanted this. Borrowing the corpse’s power, Tsubakiri drives Shiki into a corner. Mudano finds the base entrance sealed by Yomogi, and can't safely force it open. Then, using Yusurube and Homare's abilities, they clear the area of bystanders while Jin battles Yomogi, trapped by her power.

Mei sinks into despair, until Shiki’s desperately cries out. Then, fire engulfs Shiki's body...proof that the divine power of the Flame Oni "Enki" has awakened.

The next morning Shiki learns that, despite the heavy casualties, they have survived.
